FlexiPOS quick start guide

Device

Ensure your device meets the minimum specifications

1. Install the app

From the iOS app store or Google Play store search for "FlexiPOS" and install.

2. Login

Flexischools will set you up with a login and password for each FlexiPOS device you are using. Its important to login with a different user on each device so we can give you detailed reporting on which device has sold what.

3. Settings

Choose settings from the menu and set your preferences for each of your FlexiPOS devices:

Student Card Setup

If you have barcode student cards:

1. Set the 'scan mode' to 'Barcode' 

2. Choose your default scan method:

         a. If you have a USB or wireless barcode scanner - choose 'Peripheral scanner'

         b. If you want to use the device inbuilt camera to scan the card choose 'device camera'

         c. If you have neither and you type in the card number then choose 'manual input' 

3. Choose which device camera you want to use when you activate it - front or rear.

If you have mifare or RFID student cards:

1. Set the 'scan mode' to 'RFID' 

2. If you need the card number to scan as a decimal enable 'decimal', and if you need the card number to scan in reverse  enable this setting.

Note: you can change these settings and use the 'test card' feature to see the scanned card number output.

3. Choose your default scan method:

         a. If you have a USB or wireless mifare/rfid scanner - choose 'Peripheral scanner'

         b. If you want to use the device inbuilt RFID scanner to scan the card choose 'device NFC' 

                 NOTE: this is only available for devices with NFC support (phones)

         c. If you have neither and you type in the card number then choose 'manual input'
