FlexiPOS Receipt Printing

FlexiPOS v 3.0.53 and above supports receipt printing via a wireless, Bluetooth or network printer available to the device FlexiPOS is installed on.

The tested and supported receipt printer is the Epson EM-M30iii

To setup receipt printing on FlexiPOS:

  1. Go to menu -> settings and scroll down to locate the receipt printing option (if its not there then you need to update you app)
  2. Choose 'prompt' to be prompted after each sale if you wish to print a receipt, or 'always' to always print a receipt after every sale without being prompted
  3. Choose "Setup Printer" and FlexiPOS will scan the network for printers. Note some wifi networks do not allow this type of scanning so the printer will not be located. Enter the IP address of the printer instead. Click "Add printer"
  4. You should now see the printer as 'connected' on the settings screen

Printing a receipt later or getting another copy

  1. Locate the transaction in your transaction history on the main screen of FlexiPOS
  2. Tap on the transaction
  3. On the dialog choose the "Print Receipt" button

Connecting a cash drawer

When using a receipt printer you can have it automatically open a cash drawer when a receipt is printer and/or a cash sale has completed. We have tested and support this cash drawer:

The cash drawer must be plugged into the printer and the printer connected to your FlexiPOS device. You printing preference must be set to 'prompt' or 'auto'.

 

Epson Troubleshooting Tips:

  • Whats my printer IP? - if you have already run through setup before but have lost connection and need to setup the connection with FlexiPOS again, and need the printer IP address:
      1. open the paper roll cover, then press and hold the paper feed button (on the open lid) until the paper LED flashes, then close the lid and the next action sheet will print EpsonFlashRoll1.pngEpsonFlashRoll.pngEpsonNextAction.png
      2. Choose option 4 by pressing the paper feed button quickly 4 times then on the 5th press hold it down till the printer starts printing
      3. The printer will print out the config including IP address PXL_20250314_022105071.jpg
  • Printing Times Out - check your printer is still connected. Go to the settings page, and setup the printer again
  • Printer can not connect/keeps loosing connection - When setting up the printer try entering the IP address of the printer instead of letting FlexiPOS locate it for you. If your network looses power the printer may be given a new IP address once its back up and running so you will need to connect again with the new IP if that happens.
  • If you need to reset the wifi connection on the printer - open the paper roll cover, then press and hold the paper feed button (on the open lid) until the paper LED flashes, then close the lid and the setup process will begin again.
