Printer Setup and Compatibility (TSC Label Printers)

To set up your TSC label printer, please follow the guide below based on the computer you are using:

Windows

Mac (MacOS)

Before You Start – Compatibility Check

Please ensure your device is compatible with TSC printer drivers:

Windows (Recommended)

  • Most Windows computers are supported
  • Your device must have an Intel or AMD processor

Not supported with TSC label printers: ARM-based processors (e.g. Snapdragon)

How to check:

  1. Go to Settings
  2. Select About (or About your device)
  3. Check the Processor field

If it shows Snapdragon or another ARM processor, the TSC printer will not work on that device.

Mac (MacOS)

  • Supported using TSC Mac drivers
  • Follow the Mac setup guide above

Chromebook / ChromeOS

There has been an update to ChromeOS where drivers are increasingly integrated into the operating system.
In some cases, the printer may work without installing drivers by:
  • Connecting the printer to the Chromebook via USB
  • Opening Settings > Printers
  • Selecting Add Printer
  • Choosing the TSC printer if it is detected

If the printer is not detected automatically, it may be helpful to:

  • Update ChromeOS to the latest version
  • Restarting both the Chromebook and printer

Compatibility can vary depending on the Chromebook model and ChromeOS version, so functionality cannot be guaranteed on all devices.

Please note that TSC does not provide dedicated ChromeOS drivers. While some Chromebooks can detect and use the printer through ChromeOS's built-in printing support, others may not recognise the device. If you're unable to add or use the printer after following the steps above, we recommend using a Windows or Mac computer, where full driver support is available for TSC label printers.

Not Supported Devices

The following are not compatible with TSC printers:

  • Tablets (iPad, Android tablets)
  • Mobile phones (iOS / Android)
