Quantity sell limits

If you have a limited number of items available, you can set a maximum quantity that can be sold within your Supplier Portal.

  1. Log in to your Supplier Portal and click 'Items', then the relevant service type from the navigation bar.
  2. Select the item that you would like to set a sell limit for.
  3. Select one of the below options:

Per service time: this limits the number of items able to be ordered each service time. For example, if you set a limit of 10, a maximum of 10 sandwiches can be ordered at lunch, and 10 at recess.

Total: this is the number available to be ordered across all services. For example, if you set a limit of 10, if 4 sandwiches are sold at lunch, only 6 more can be sold. Once the remaining 6 are sold, this item will be out of stock until the limit is updated.

  4. Click 'Save'.

When setting a limit, please note that items that have been ordered in advance will not be counted towards the set limit.

For example, if you set a limit of 5 on sandwiches and there are existing orders for this item, you would still have the capacity to sell another 5 sandwiches after applying the Quantity Sell Limit.

Before applying a sell limit, we recommend confirming in Item Management whether these items have already been pre-ordered.
