Create a product bundle

Sell existing products together at one fixed price

A bundle groups products you already sell, such as a back-to-school pack, and sells them at one fixed price. Each item still keeps its own stock.

Before you start

  • You need the Shop Manager role.
  • Create the products you want to bundle first. A bundle can include standard products and products with variants, in Draft or Published status. It can't include archived products or other bundles.

Create the bundle

  1. Go to Products and select New product.
  2. Under Type, choose Bundle ("Group products at a fixed price.").
  3. Under Details, enter a Product name and Description, and choose Collections so shoppers can find it. Bundles don't have photos or an attachment of their own.
  4. Under Bundle contents, step 1 Add products: search in Search products to add and select each product. A product can only be added once.
  5. Step 2 Set quantities: enter a Qty for each product. The table also shows each product's Add-ons and Item price. Drag the grip to set the order customers see, or select the cross to remove an item.
  6. Step 3 Set bundle price: enter the Bundle fixed price. Customers pay this amount whatever options they choose. Untick This price includes tax if it doesn't. See Set up tax on products.
  7. Check the figures below the price:
    • Total item price is the combined price of the items if bought separately, using each item's highest price (and its priciest add-on choice). Select the figure to see the breakdown.
    • Customer saves at least shows the percentage and dollar saving against the total item price.
  8. Select Save Draft or Publish, then confirm.

Good to know

  • To save a draft you only need a Product name. To publish you also need at least one product ("Add at least one product to this bundle.") and a bundle price ("Add a bundle retail price to continue."). A price of $0 is allowed.
  • A bundle can hold up to 20 products. Quantities must be whole numbers of 1 or more.
  • If a tracked item is out of stock when you publish, you'll see One item is out of stock. Customers can't buy the bundle until that item is back, unless Preorder is on for it. Select Publish anyway to continue.
  • If the bundle isn't in any collection, you'll be asked Publish without a collection?
  • Add-ons stay attached to the products inside the bundle, not to the bundle.
  • Tax is worked out from the bundle price only, not from the items inside it.
  • The bundle shows one of its items' photos in your Products list when it has none of its own.
  • If you change Type after adding items, the products, quantities and price are cleared after you confirm.
  • Duplicate a bundle to create a similar one quickly. See Duplicate a product.
