Take Shop orders in FlexiPOS

Find items, choose sizes and extras, and build a cart at the counter

Use the Shop screen in FlexiPOS to ring up uniforms and other merchandise at the counter. You find an item, choose its size and options, and build up a cart before you take payment.

Before you start

  • Sign in to FlexiPOS with a Shop Manager or Shop Fulfilment Manager account. Accounts without a shop role are sent to the canteen screens instead.
  • Make sure the tablet is online. Shop orders can't be taken offline.
  • Items must be published and belong to at least one collection to appear. A bundle only appears when every item inside it is published.

Find an item

  1. Open Home (the screen FlexiPOS starts on).
  2. Tap a collection chip such as All or a collection name. Collections with no items aren't shown.
  3. Or type in Search for products. Search matches item names.
  4. Or scan the item's barcode. The matching item is added to the cart.

Each tile shows the name, price, photo and any stock tag (see stock warnings, overselling and preorders). A number badge shows how many are already in the cart.

Add a simple item

Tap the tile once, or scan its barcode, and the item goes straight into the cart. Tap again to add another. If the item has add-ons, a window opens first.

Add an item with sizes or options

  1. Tap the tile. A window opens with the item name and price. If sizes are priced differently you see From $X - $Y.
  2. Under Select size (or colour, or whatever the shop named the option), tap a choice. Required choices are marked with a red asterisk and Required.
  3. If the item has more than one option, the next one appears after you choose the first. From then on each choice shows its stock, for example 12 available, 3 left, Out of stock or Preorder.
  4. Use the − and + buttons to set the quantity.
  5. Tap Add to cart – $total. The total uses the price of the chosen size, the quantity and any add-ons.

Choose add-ons

Add-ons appear under ADD-ONS in the same window. Depending on how they were set up you can choose one option, choose several (some groups say Select up to 2), or type text such as a name for embroidery. Add-on prices are added on top of the item price. Add to cart stays unavailable until every required choice is made.

Add a bundle

  1. Tap a tile tagged Bundle.
  2. For each item in the bundle that needs a size, tap Select, choose the size, and check the row shows a tick.
  3. Tap Add to cart once every row is complete.

A bundle has one fixed price. The quantity buttons change how many whole bundles you sell. Add-ons on items inside a bundle don't change the bundle price.

Review and edit the cart

The Cart on the right lists each line with its size, add-ons and price, and the Total underneath.

  • Tap Edit on a line to reopen its window, change the size, add-ons or quantity, then tap Update in cart. Plain items without options have no Edit button; use the quantity buttons instead.
  • Tap − or + to change the quantity. At quantity 1 the − becomes a bin icon, and tapping it removes the line straight away.
  • Tap Clear all at the top of the cart, then Clear all again in the "Clear cart?" window, to empty the cart.

Good to know

  • Stock figures are as of the last time the tablet loaded the item list. Tap the refresh icon next to the search box to update them.

Troubleshooting

I see "Could not load shop items." Tap Try again. If it keeps failing, check the tablet's internet connection.

I see "This terminal is not linked to a shop." Sign out of FlexiPOS and sign in again to reconnect the tablet to your shop.

An item I expect isn't there. Check in the Store Portal that it's published and in a collection, then tap the refresh icon.
